Why choose Sean?

Education

Sean Goebel holds a four year bachelor of music degree from the University of Calgary in guitar and composition. It is not recommend to take music instruction from teachers without formal music backgrounds. They are often not properly equipped to explain key concepts, don't waste your time and money!

Experience

Sean Goebel has been teaching numerous students from age six to sixty for the previous seven years. Sean has studied guitar under professionals like Jake Solomans (classical guitar), Scott Howe (classical guitar) and Ralf Buschmeyer (jazz guitar) and played in numerous professional groups in a variety of styles (see biography for more). Sean has recently helped two of his students pass their 2008 Royal Conservatory exams with honours, his vocal coaching helped another student into the Young Canadians this year.

Flexibility

Sean is able to offer lessons at his studio (1327 21 avenue NW) or in your home (travel charges will apply). Sean specializes in teaching classical, jazz, and rock but can instruct in almost any style. Sean believes in tailoring lessons towards a students goals, with some effort made to expand their horizons.
